Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
One of the most important ways of conducting historical research is through the analysis of historical documents. In the case of historical education research, much can be learned about the goals of curricula by analyzing teaching resources, such as textbooks. Alongside the analysis of sources, specific details of these goals can be learned when placed in comparison next to other sources and/or timeframes. This seminar will aim to guide students in learning to form methodological frameworks in which they can analyze historical sources (especially textbooks) as well as practice comparing their findings throughout the semester. This work is supported through peer-groups and constructive feedback.

Sufficient knowledge of English to read and understand some English texts and to follow the English-speaking course instructor.
