Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

LV-Inhalt (Englisch) Teaching and learning throughout history from antiquity
(/manthanein/didaskein/) through to pragmatism and postmodern
concepts. Targeted excursions into various different eras to examine
systematic developments and selected examples of empirical educational
research in the teaching and learning sectors. Didactic models and
curriculum concepts and their implications for teaching and learning.

Assessment and permitted materials

Grading Methods

Assessment of presentations and written papers on relevant course
topics, continous assessment of course work

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

OBJECTIVES

Competence in the critical analysis of discourse on teaching and
learning; ability to conduct in-depth literature
research

Examination topics

COURSE METHODS

Lectures by course leader, dialogue with students, presentations and
executive summaries of group discussion materials, papers on relevant
course topics and material

Reading list

Details will be provided at the kick-off session for the first class
in the course
