Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course will focus on development in the first three years. Although public policy has been, at best, ambivalent for the last 50 years concerning the care and education of children away from the family, the last ten years have seen under threes move up the political agenda in Western Europe and North America. This course will examine key theoretical perspectives in early development to the situation of babies and toddlers at home and in nursery. It will also address issues of quality and effectiveness of different types and forms of provision.
