Die Intention des Seminars ist es, die unterschiedlichen Bedingungen, unter denen das moderne Bildungssystem entstanden ist, zu rekonstruieren und diese auf ihre möglichen Nachwirkungen in der Gegenwart zu untersuchen. Aus dieser Perspektive sollen ebenfalls die systematischen Aspekte institutioneller Beschulung aufgezeigt werden.
