Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture provides an overview of the most pertinent topics of cognitive psychology: memory, its functions and disorders; attention; perception; thinking and problem solving; reading; language; decision making. A brief introduction into the historical development of the area is given at the beginning of the course.
