Aims, contents and method of the course
Basics of human biology for psychologists. Biochemical basics of life, metabolism. Cell and tissue. Neuron, neuronal tissue, nervous system. Cellular communication, signalization. Endocrine and neural regulation. Genetics, behavioral genetics.
Assessment and permitted materials
Multiple Choice Tests.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Mental processes are attributes of biological organisms and their brains. This seminar provides basic information of biological processes, which define and support life. The focus will be at regulatory mechanisms with a central role of brain.
Examination topics
Presentation of topics, explanation of concepts, discussions.
