Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture gives an overview of the most important developmental phenomena in human life. Under the view of classical and modern development theories, the students get to know relevant developmental concepts and acquire developmental expertise focused on childhood and adolescence. After an insight into the traditions of developmental psychology and their views on development, the cognitive, socio-emotional and psychological development of children and adolescents are focused and school-related topics such as learning, bullying and developmental disorders are taken up and reflected.

Assessment and permitted materials

written exam digitally (4 possible exam dates)
Multiple choice test (20 questions with 5 alternative answers, of which 1-4 alternatives can be correct): 30 minutes exam time
No auxiliary materials are allowed

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum criterion for a positive grade: 60% of the maximum achievable points in the MC test
Grade 1: 90 – 100%
Grade 2: 80 - 89%
Grade 3: 70 - 79%
Grade 4: 60 - 69%
Negative assessment: less than 60% of the achievable points
