Aims, contents and method of the course

Description course aims, contents, and methods:

Students will acquire knowledge
- basic principles of Child and Adolscent Clinical Psychology such as classifications, model of developmental risk and protection,
age-specific developmental risks and deviations,
- developmental psychopathology (origin, course, and prognosis of psychosocial stress and disorders)
- selected developmental, behavioral and emotional disorders
- assessment/evaluation process with children and adolescents as well as evidence-treatment concepts
- fields of application, interdisciplinary cooperation and care of children and adolescents with mental disorders

Contents are designed according to thematic focal points.
Previous attendance of the lecture VO Clinical Psychology is recommended.

Assessment and permitted materials

Type of assessment and permitted aids:
online examination (multiple-choice), no aids allowed, time: 30 minutes

There will be 4 exam dates for this lecture WS2020/21, which will be announced in time in the moodle-course as well as on the homepage of the Student-Service-Center (SSC; see section "examination dates").

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirement:
For passing the exam a minimum of 12 points (out of 20) is required (60%).

Examination material: contents of lectures, material of lectures (presentation slides, accompanying texts), selected book chapters.
