- Planning a study and/or writing up project plans
- To go through (peer) feedback loopsImportant: In the following semester (SoSe 23), a Bachelor's thesis is to be written according to the preliminary work in the specialized literature seminar. The overarching theme of this course is positive psychology with a strong focus on interventions from contemplative sciences including self-compassion, mindfulness, affective (self-)touching, and other mind-body interventions. Special focus is on the topics: 1) effectiveness research of mind-body interventions and their effects on stress or well-being, 2) basic and applied research on self-compassion 3) current directions in mindfulness research. The goal is that by the end of the semester each student will have a concept for a project to write their bachelor thesis about. These papers can be empirical studies, systematic reviews, or meta-analyses. The above-mentioned topics are the framework within which the course will move thematically, but feel free to make suggestions (depending on the area of interest) for research questions that go beyond these topics.
