Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The reading process involves more than the ability to map letters to sounds. In this course, we will get to know the most important theories of reading comprehension (focusing on vocabulary knowledge). Besides that, we will discuss reading comprehension tests and analyze available evidence based interventions.
Assessment and permitted materials
attendance, final paper, and active participation in class.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
get acquainted with and understand important and recent research topics in relation to reading comprehension.
