This lecture is for students who take part in the Erweiterungscurriculum "Anwendungsfelder der Psychologie". Students studying Psychology are not allowed to participate in the exam of the lecture!

Aims, contents and method of the course

History of work & organizational psychology; introduction to economic psychology: history & classical behavioral assumptions; decision making; lay theories of economic processes; society & individuals; unemployment; work: action theory, analysis and design; motivation and satisfaction (job satisfaction); work related impacts: strain, stress, burnout, engagement, safety; leadership; household decisions (consumer behavior in private households); market and consumer psychology
