Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim is to provide scientific support in the planning, implementation, analysis and interpretation of empirical studies in the context of writing the Master's thesis.
Assessment and permitted materials
Since the course will take place online and in presence, presentations must be recorded as a video file (e.g. image recording with sound in PowerPoint - a tutorial can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNwG50D2iiQ). The recordings must then be uploaded to Moodle on the scheduled date of the seminar (usually Tuesdays) (a corresponding submission folder has been set up). All participants of the seminar watch the presentation and give feedback on the planned study/evaluation in the corresponding discussion forum on Moodle. I ask for objective and critical feedback and suggestions for improving the work presented. In addition, participation counts as attendance in the seminar in online format; whenever the seminar is hold in presence, students need to be present.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Lectures and discussions on scientific work or participation in the virtual discussion and attendance and participation in discussions if the seminar is held in presence.
Examination topics
Attendance (online and in class) and participation in discussions. Presentation of the planning and evaluation of the Master's thesis.
Reading list
Depending on the topic of the Master's thesis.
