Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar consists of two parts:Part A consists of an introduction to essential topics of experimental research, such as literature search, scientific reading and writing, and basic research methods.Part B consists of student presentations and subsequent discussions on current research topics in the fields of perceptual and cognitive psychology.
Assessment and permitted materials
- Active participation- Short exam- Oral presentation- Term paper- Participation in experiments
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- To provide insights into important areas of scientific work, such as searching for literature, making citations, and designing experiments- To train the ability to critically assess research articles- To provide an overview of current topics in the fields of perceptual and cognitive psychology- To write a term paper according to academic standards

- Theoretical introduction- Oral presentations- Reading of English research articles- Discussions- Participation in experiments
