Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
-presence during all (on- and offline) sessions (1 time absence is tolerated)
-meetings with mentees once every second week
-memos after every (on- as well as offline)-.meeting, where you reflect on what happened
-final reflection paper at the end of the term
-collection of inscription numbers of all mentees/ participants
-100 % participation in introduction of the program, in producing content and during the introductory phase of the programme
- you will additionally get a soft skill certificate from the CTL (Center for Teaching and Learning)
All partial contributions must have been provided in time and assessed positively in order to be able to complete the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Peer-Mentoring is a program addressing students in their first term at Vienna University/department of political science. Its aim is to facilitate the STEOP phase and helps to accommodate students in their new context. Your tasks are:
-full attendance of the preparation seminars (40%)
-team work (40%)
-delivering of memos and final protocol (20%)
It is tolerated, if you miss one session.

Examination topics
There is no exam in the classical sense, but you will develop the following competencies:
-knowledge about mentoring concepts
-team building knowledge and leadership skills in groups
-reflection skills for group processes
-process-oriented work in groups
-transfer competence for study knowledge

-The students know relevant presentation techniques,
- they work on the mastery of techniques for the transfer of knowledge, feedback and
moderation skills and know how to apply those
-students acquire experience in conducting discussions, leading a small group, they will know how to organize presentations and are competent in communicating knowledge as well as their respective experiences made during their time of study
