Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The EU multi-level governance system is shaped by a plurality of institutions and actors, policy-modes. This class provides a theoretically informed assessment of these interactions at EU level, its policy outcome and the subsequent implementation in the member states. In addition, we will also discuss the democratic implication of the EU governance system. The EU migration and asylum policy will serve as a case study which will help us to show how different actors act on different governance levels using different kinds of instruments to pursue their interest.
