Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture addresses various theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of visuals in the political field. Drawing on recent examples from the coverages of political events in the news media - with a focus on political portraits - we will discuss advantages and disadvantages of these approaches for research designs in the social sciences.

Assessment and permitted materials

Grading will be based on a written exam.
