Aims, contents and method of the course

ocus on Quality Journalism; research, writing. What are the bare-essentials for an investigative journalist? Learning through different kinds of exercises; also watching films and discuss them; how do journalists get to their stories and sources? How should journalists build up their stories?

Writing techniques between 140 characters and book length. Magazine journalism (theme-making, research, text, layout). Economics & journalism, portraits, interviews. Practical exercises.

Assessment and permitted materials

Writing a magazine article. Getting to know the working chain of magazines: generating ideas, convincing the editorial staff, research, writing, feedback. What texts do we need for digital platforms?
