Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Students learn the implementation of research projects in the field of communication science on a current state of international research.
In particular students will implement two research projects out of the three fields Media & Politics, Strategic Communication and Journalism & Society. To facilitate top-class projects, which need a permanent and intensive discussion with a topic, this module will implement the planed project from Research Project 1 empirically. After finishing this module Students are enabled to independently realize their own research project for their master thesis, with all necessary steps.

Assessment and permitted materials

70% final research paper
30% presentations

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Considerable self-management is required.
It is on your own responsibility to bring your work and questions to class.

Grading System / Course Grading:
Sehr gut (= 1) = 90 – 100 Points
Gut (= 2) = 80 – 89,99 Points
Befriedigend (= 3) = 70 – 79,99 Points
Genügend (= 4) = 60 – 69,99 Points
Nicht Genügend (= 5) = < 60 Points.

Attendance is mandatory for classes. You are allowed to miss one session.
