Aims, contents and method of the course

In der LV soll die Auswertung und Analyse soziologischer Daten anhand einfacher soziologische Fragestellungen geübt werden. Folgende Verfahren werden angewendet: Konfidenzintervalle, Einstichprobentests, Chi-Quadrat Test, Nichtparametrische Tests, t-Tests, Varianzanalyse, Regressionsanalyse.

Vermittlung von grundlegenden Kenntnissen in Anwendung, Berechnung und Interpretation statistischer Verfahren

Examination topics

Es werden zunächst mit Taschenrechner und Excel sowie anschließend mit SPSS einfache soziologische Fragestellungen anhand konkreter Datensätze analysiert. Anschließend wird auf die in der sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschung auftauchenden Praxisprobleme bei der Anwendung und Interpretation der Verfahren eingegangen.
