Aims, contents and method of the course

Die LV beinhaltet 3 Hauptteile:
1) Einen Überblick über die Geschichte und Grundbegriffe der politischen Anthropologie.
2) Die Behandlung von Spezialthemen, wie z.B. Ethnizität und Nationalismus, Kolonialismus und Post-Koloniaismus, Post-Sozialismus und Globalisierung.
3) Die Diskussion von gegenwärtigen Aspekten indigener Politik, mit besonderer Berücksichtigung von Jäger- und Samlergesellschaften.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam; extra points can be earned through participation in the tutorium.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Entsprechend den Inhalten gibt es folgende LV-Ziele:
1) Vertrautheit mit den historischen und gegenwärtigen Grundtendenzen der politischen Anthropologie.
2) Grundkenntnisse von einigen Spezialdiskussionen in der politischen Anthropologie.
3) Querverbindungen zu anderen LVs in der Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie.
