Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar targets advanced PhD candidates in the field of Development Studies and related fields. The aim is to discuss articles, chapters / draft chapters of the thesis and address theoretical, methodological and practical questions - on the basis of the draft.
This seminar looks at ways of improving academic writing in Social Sciences. The participants will investigate the writing process, classic mistakes made, style and structure of papers, writing abstracts and titles and getting a paper published. The reading of articles /chapters is the basis for an individual and collective learning process.
