Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The master’s course is for students who are at the end of their studies and are planning or already writing their master's thesis. The course accompanies the conception and development of students’ master’s theses, focusing on the development of the research design. It supports students in developing a research topic and research question(s), in the theoretical and methodological conception of the master thesis, and also offers a space to discuss the structure or chapters of the thesis. The course is based on the presentation and discussion of the students’ master’s thesis concepts and (planned) theses.

By October 6th (before the first session of the course on October 10th), participants must upload a preliminary concept of the master’s thesis on Moodle. The concept should include a short overview of the research area and objective, the preliminary research question(s) and the planned theoretical and methodological approach. It should be 2 pages long.

Assessment and permitted materials

The master’s course is planned to take place in class and students are expected to participate in class. But developments regarding Covid-19 can lead to a change to online or hybrid teaching via Zoom.

The first sessions on October 10th and 12th will take place in class. Any necessary short-notice changes will be stated here on u:find and participants will also receive an e-mail through Moodle.
