Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar relates two discussions: (a) about the modern state, (b) about space. Against former/older concepts of the state as homogeneous, demarcated entity, present approaches to the state show the need to combine its investigation with considerations of space and the concept of scales.
Assessment and permitted materials

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- To introduce newer approaches to both concepts;- Learning by drawing attention to specific aspects;
Examination topics
Interactive teaching:a) in the sessions;b) within a student forum on moodle - expected is 1 contribution per week as minimum!
