Aims, contents and method of the course

Art and Anthropology

Recently, some major approaches have been articulated regarding the relationship between art and anthropology.

a) World Art Studies

b) Global Art

c) Participatory Art

These approaches will be introduced and discussed in particular with their implications for anthropology in general.

Assessment and permitted materials

Marking is dependent of the following criteria:

- Contribution to the blog; 30%

- Active participation in seminar sessions; 20%

- Final presentation; 10%

- Final paper: 40%:

1) Literature - 30%

2) Structure - 30%

3) Argument- 40%

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

a) Introduction to these approaches;

b) Challenging perspectives on anthropology;

c) Experimenting with learning methods

Examination topics

- Interactive teaching;

- Experimenting with blog;
