Aims, contents and method of the course

Chicana Feminism and its relevance for anthropology
Forms of Chicana Feminism, based on the concept of Mestizaja (borderland identity) will be examined with regard to their importance for decolonial anthropological research.
We will read and discuss texts of Chicana Feminists as well as decolonial theory and methodology. How can these concepts help us to decolonize our thinking and practice as anthropologists.

The lecturer can invite students to a grade-relevant discussion about partial achievements. Partial achievements that are obtained by fraud or plagiarized result in the non-evaluation of the course (entry 'X' in certificate). From winter term 2019/20 the plagiarism software 'Turnitin' will be used for courses with continuous assessment.
