Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This semester there will be no combinatorics course, but there will be the possibility to do the exam. To prepare for the exam, the content of the combinatorics course will be presented in videos that will be made available in Moodle. In addition, we will meet once a week to discuss possible questions. The videos provide an introduction to enumerative and (some) algebraic combinatorics. It builds on the bachelor's course ``discrete mathematics''. The topics will include the theory of species, polya theory (i.e., enumeration of objects with symmetries), partially ordered sets and symmetric functions.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students who participate actively in the tutorial and attend regularly can earn a grade for this.
However, the exam on the combinatorics course is independent of this.
However, the exam on the combinatorics course is independent of this.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Regular attendance and active participation in the discussions.
Examination topics
All topics discussed in the videos.
