Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Classical questions of algebra in R and in C, with a particular focus on the theme Transcendental Numbers (such as e or pi).
Assessment and permitted materials
The quality of the lecture, regular attendance and active participation determine the grade. In addition students may be examined on selected chapters of the book.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students shall learn and train to give understandable well-prepared (specialized) lectures. In addition the acquired material shall be collectively discussed.
Examination topics
Students will give lectures on the subject. The presented material serves as a basis of discussion for all participants of the seminar.
