Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Theorems and their proofs together form the heart of mathematics. In this seminar many particularly nice and elegant (also surprising) proofs in elementary mathematics will be given a closer look and screened.
Assessment and permitted materials
The quality of the lecture and its written summary, regular attendance and active participation determine the grade.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Joy and excitement for the beauty of mathematics. Enthusiasm to share this joy, paired with professional competence.
Examination topics
Students shall learn and train to give understandable well-prepared (specialized) lectures. In addition the acquired material shall be collectively discussed.
