Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Mathematical foundations for image and signal processing, both in the discrete and continuous domain (with a discussion of discretization problems, approximation of infinite dimensional questions by finite dimensional problems which can be handled within MATLAB). With special emphasis on algorithmic questions.
Assessment and permitted materials
to be provided early in the semester (oral examination after the end of the course)
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The participants are supposed to learn about the realization of algorithms for signal- and image processing (e.g. FFT), in their realization using MATLAB.
