Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The students consolidate and deepen the knowledge acquired in the lecture course (250078 VO Advanced numerical analysis). This is accomplished by applying that knowledge to practical problems (computations, computer implementation) and by discussing the solutions in class when they are presented at the blackboard.
Programming language can be chosen to be matlab, octave or python.

Assessment and permitted materials

The presentation of the solutions will be marked, together with the number of solved problems, and the active involvement in the discussion process.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To get a pass, 60% of the problems have to be solved, and 60% of the maximal possible points for blackboard presentations have to be gained.

Examination topics

The set of problems.

Reading list

Same as in the lecture course.
