Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
We will cover the foundations of Numerical Analysis, in particular: The condition of a problem, stability and convergence of algorithms. We will treat linear and non-linear (systems of) equations, optimization problems, interpolation, eigenvalue problems and differentiation and interpolation.The discussed algorithms will also be implemented and tested (in python, possibly demonstrations in Matlab).
Assessment and permitted materials
Written or oral exams.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
For a positive grade it is necessary to obtain more that 50% of the possible points.
