Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
We study and discuss selected advanced topics in dynamical systems (or related issues in probability). The choice of topics will be discussed during the seminar, and depends on the interests of participants. Two possible themes are one-dimensional dynamics (see e.g. the book "Chaos on the interval" by S.Ruette) and complex dynamics (see "Iteration of rational functions" by A.F.Beardon).
Assessment and permitted materials
Based on active participation and a presentation.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Active participation and a presentation.
Examination topics
Will be selected during the seminar
Reading list
Will be selected during the seminar
