Aims, contents and method of the course
We will study the modern theory of the subspace theorem.
Assessment and permitted materials
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Participants will be introduced to the latest developments in research concerning an important result of modern Diophantine approximation.
Examination topics
We will study the article "Approximation of Algebraic Numbers" by Prof. H.P. Schlickewei, which appeared in the proceedings of a summer school on Diophantine approximation.
