Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar introduces the basic notions of the geometry of numbers in view of its applications to theory of diophantine approximation by algebraic numbers of bounded height.
Assessment and permitted materials
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The seminar will be hold in form of a lecture. Prof. W. Schmidt, an expert in the field of diophantine approximation, will give some talks that will allow a deeper insight into this fascinating theory.
