Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Nonstandard Analysis - developed by Abraham Robinson in the 1960s - is more a method than an area of mathematics. Robinson revived the idea of infinitesimal quantities of Leibniz and Euler and showed that this concept is also fruitful in modern fields of mathematics.
The subjects covered in this seminar depend on the interests and knowledge of the participants and will be set at the preliminary discussion.
