Aims, contents and method of the course
The course "Assessing Human Rights Violations, Filing Human Rights Complaints and Stra-tegic Litigation" will explore what is understood as a human rights violation, how to as-sess a violation and how to file a human rights complaint. At the same time, participants will be able to learn about the tool of strategic litigation and how it can be used in a human rights context. Participants will deepen their knowledge through lectures, presentations and group work as well as engage in discussion with their lecturers and peers.
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment consists of a written assignment (80 points) and participation in class dur-ing the sessions (20 points).For the written assignment, participants will be divided into groups. Each group will then write a paper of 58 pages (references not included) to be handed in on Moodle by the 21st of January 2022. The topics will be distributed during the session on the 13th of November 2021.
