Aims, contents and method of the course

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
This lecture provides an introduction to theoretical quantum optics. Students shall get aquainted with the basic processes, fundamental experiments and the most important theoretical tools in quantum optics, with a special focus on applications in quantum information and the research program of the Vienna Graduate School on Complex Quantum Systems.
