Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to concepts and realizations of experimental quantum optics (Arndt) and quantum information processing (Walther).
In Quantum Optics we will focus on the interaction of light and matter, and how this allows to prepare quantum states of matter.
In Quantum Information we will focus on concepts, algorithms and experimental realizations in photon-based quantum information processing.

Written test
Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are not allowed to be used for the exam

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The exam will cover both QO and QI. You will demonstrate your comprehensive and detailed knowledge of content of both lectures and exercises.
50% of all accessible points are sufficient to pass the course. All grades above that scale linearly with your results.
