Students passing this course will improve in their scientific presentation and reading skills: They will be able to independently research a scientific topic and give a short talk supported by media (presentation slides, blackboard) using adequate scientific vocabulary. This includes the ability to generate meaningful and reasonable visualizations (plots and sketches) and giving adequate and constructive feedback.Contents
Topics include: semiconductor optics, optical measurement methods, experimental design, optical frequency combs, phase- and intensity noise measurements
