Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Problems and exercises supplementing the lecture Advanced Physics of Nuclei and Isotopes. By means of exercises, students shall become acquainted with concepts and methods taught in the lecture. At the same time, they shall be trained to present a problem and its solution in a clear manner. Depending on the COVID-situation, non-mandatory excursions to closeby research facilities related to the covered topics shall support the students to relate their knowledge to practice.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written module exam at the end of the semester for the study-relevant module grade.
Exercise procedure:
You prepare the solutions for as many exercises as you can and tick-mark them on Moodle. You upload your solutions to Moodle (until 23:59 the preceding day).
The uploaded exercises are used to check occasionally, whether the ticked solutions have in fact been worked on.
Results are presented and discussed by students during the course hours.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The (not study-relevant) course grade is made up to equal parts by the number of tick-marked exercises and the active participation in the presentation and discussion of results during the exercise lessons.
In order to get a positive grade , 25% of all exercises have to be completed and uploaded and one example presented orally during the exercise. Above, the grading scale is linear.
Your presence in the exercise classes is expected and obligatory (with the exception of non-mandatory excursions). You are allowed to skip 2 sessions without reason. Further missed sessions will lead to a negative grade (fail) unless there is a credible and reasonable excuse.
