Aims, contents and method of the course

Energy is not only of profound importance in scientific contexts, it is as well of great interest in everyday life. When developing learning material the students pre-concept must as well be accounted for. Teaching for understanding the complex scientific idea of energy asks for an overall instructional design.

Course with immanent character

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Discussing results of pedagogical content research related to teaching energy, developing, probing and evaluating learning material in respect to research results.

Examination topics

Presentations, discussions, interviewing pupils on their ideas about the concept of energy, observing pupils' learning processes.
