Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The progress in cosmology in recent years rests largely on investigations of the cosmic background radiation. What is remarkable about it is not only its almost precisely thermal character but also the information contained in its tiny deviations from isotropy. The subject of the seminar is the physics underlying the angular spectrum of this anisotropy and the conclusions that can be drawn from it about the early history of the universe.

Assessment and permitted materials

The course has immanent examination character.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Becoming acquainted with special topics in gravitational physics.

Examination topics

Participants give seminar talks.
