Aims, contents and method of the course
Methods to determine selected properties of macro- and micromaterials:Elasticity: basic principles, static and dynamic methods (resonance)Plasticity: basic principles, tensile, bending and shear deformation for micro samples, Indentationmethods.Strain measuring methods: basic principles contacting methods with strain gauges, noncontacting (laserspeckle and laserinterferometer).Cyclic deformation: basic principles hysteresis curves, lifetime estimation and microstructure, crack initiation, physics of failure, micro fracture mechanics.Thermal properties (laser speckle interferometry, correlation technique, AFM).
