Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Short introduction into experimental particles physics. Detailed description of tools used for the experiments: particle accelerators, passage of radiation through matter, particle and radiation detectors.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written examination (60 minutes) with basic questions of understanding
No aids allowed.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirement for positive result: 50% of total points
less than 50%: "nicht genügend"
Minimum 50% but less than 65%: "genügend"
Minimum 65% but less than 80%: "befriedigend"
Minimum 80% but less than 90%: "gut"
Minimum 90%: "sehr gut"
