Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Students will learn basic concepts and methods of bioinformatics and pharmacoinformatics. The contents include: Analysis, prediction and modeling of biological macromolecules (proteins, DNA, RNA), biological databases, sequence analysis, phylogenetic analysis, gene annotation, comparative genomics, quantitative structure-activity relationships, molecular docking, virtual screening, data integration and hit-to-lead processes in drug discovery.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam, in presence. The use of no additional materials is permitted during the exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

There are no specific requirements for for the participation in this course. For the successful completion of the class a minimum of 60% of the total points of the exam are required.
