Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Large data-sets from high-throughput analysis methods cannot be interpreted manually but need to be processed automatically using accurate and reliable algorithms performed by appropriate software-packages. Here some commonly used software-packages applied for proteomics, transcriptomics and lipidomics will be presented in detail. Furthermore, algorithms supporting data interpretation will be presented.
Assessment and permitted materials
Performance is monitored during the practical course (interest, cooperation), and is furthermore determined on the basis of the quality of the delivered protocol and the acquired knowledge (determined in the closing meeting).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students need positive grades for each part of the performance (interest/cooperation, protocol and closing meeting regarding the acquired knowledge) in order to successfully complete the course.
Examination topics
lectures and practical computer work
Reading list
Additional literature is not required.
