270015 SE+UE Biochemisches Praktikum E (Strukturbiologie) (2005W)

This practical course covers both theoretical and experimental aspects of structural biology and bioinformatics. Of particular importance and relevance is the equal coverage of theoretical (computer applications) and experimental techniques. Experimental tools such as protein crystallography and NMR spectroscopy are combined with theoretical biochemistry, bioinformatics and biomolecular simulations to define biochemistry at an atomic level. The course offers basic training in molecular structural biology and provides a sound foundation for subsequent specialization in biological chemistry and molecular biology.
