Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Engrossing selected subjects from Didactics of Chemistry using concrete exampes
Emphasis will be set on the following:
Learning preconditions and individualisation
Inquiry-based learning
Aspects of good teaching
Lesson planning

Based on these topics you will plan a chemistry lesson. The experiences will be reflected within the whole group.

Assessment and permitted materials

Planning of a chemistry lesson, written feedback

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

In order to successfully complete the seminar, a continuous attendance is necessary (max 2 appointments may be missed excused). In addition, all partial services (literary work, lesson planning, presentation of the commitment phase, feedback, cooperation) must be provided positively.

We expect compliance with the principles of good scientific practice. These include, for example, the autonomy of writing works, the observance of citation rules for text and images as well as observance of copyright law.
In contrast, violations, such as ghostwriting or plagiarism, are no trivial offense and at any rate have consequences.
For written work within the seminar:
"Since this is a partial performance in the context of an exam-related course, this falls under 'use of unauthorized aids' and is considered a cheating attempt to get a better assessment. This leads to the entry of a cheat note ('X') in your collective report."

If necessary, the course management may require an oral reflection of the submitted work, which must be completed successfully.

Examination topics

Mixture of inputs from educators and students.
Lesson preparation in small working teams.
Linking theorie and practice.
