Block: Oktober/November.
Durchführung voraussichtlich: Mo 18.10.2010- Mo 08.11..2010 (Übungssaal I, Inst. f. Organische Chemie)
Dauer: 12 Arbeitstage, Mo-Fr 12:00 bis 18:00 Uhr.
Persönliche Anmeldung, 6. und 7. 10., 8:00 - 9:00 Uhr und 12:00 - 13:00 Uhr, 8. 10. 12: 00 -13.00 Uhr bei F. Hammerschmidt, Raum 1148 Inst. f. Organische Chemie; max. 20 Teilnehmer. Die Zulassungsvoraussetzungen sind nachzuweisen (positiver Abschluss Grundpraktikum II und VO Biochemie (oder Biolog. Chemie I).
Vorbesprechung: Do 14. 10. 2010, 12:15-13:00, HS I.
Termin für die Vorbesprechung wird im VVZ bekanntgegeben, sobald Hörsaalpläne für WS zur Verfügung stehen.

Aims, contents and method of the course

The isolation, preparation and characterization of natural products, as well as their analytical determination are illustrated by one representative example.
The preparation of organic compounds utilizing enzymatic methods (as well as their characterization) is exemplified.

Assessment and permitted materials

Praktische Durchführung, Protokoll, Zwischenprüfungen.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students are able to implement basic methods as applied in modern natural product chemistry.
Furthermore the acquisition of fundamental working techniques in enzymatic synthetic chemistry is a main objective.
