Aims, contents and method of the course
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The students are able to implement basic methods as applied in modern natural product chemistry.
Furthermore the acquisition of fundamental working techniques in enzymatic synthetic chemistry is a main objective.
Students will be introduced to and acquire basic skills in: solid phase synthesis of biopolymers; enzymatic assays and data analysis; protein modification/labeling and separation/visualization.

The isolation, preparation and characterization of natural products, as well as their analytical determination are illustrated by one representative example.The preparation of organic compounds utilizing enzymatic methods (as well as their characterization) is exemplified.Solid phase peptide and DNA synthesis; enzyme kinetics and inhibition; protein chemistry.
